For ExploreHouse Project the following tasks are necessary
1. Make virtual access using dedicated fast internet connection with broadband or fiberglass technology. This allow for on-line observation of camera images and fast access to current and archival data and availability to control the installation
• hiring fast data line,
• installation of data routers and installation of dedicated internet server,
• installation of the network software.
2. Installation of cameras (the whole area of installation would be covered):
• 8 stationary cameras,
• 2 cameras with rotating head and zoom (controlled via internet).
3. Installation of the following monitoring system components:
• data servers (main and backup) for camera streams and measured data,
• additional sensors for monitoring system (sensors for temperature, flow, pressure, flame monitoring with flame spectroscopy etc.).
• elements of control system accessible via internet (actuators like valves, controlled pumps, fans, inverters etc.
• software for programming user experiments. The online user will be able to prepare ‘experiment script’ with description of the experiment and obtain data from this experiment. The whole experiment could be programmed: e.g., air flow, heat usage, etc. Laboratory personnel would prepare fuel according specification and would control running of the experiment (for safety reasons).
• elements for visual monitoring of the installation: indicator panels visible via camera, working elements of the installation will be lighting using LEDs with different colors.
• improving of the existing system by adding: additional heat radiators (air heaters, infrared emitter, sets of different radiators, floor (wall) heating system, water systems (sink, shower). All this systems are planned to placed in model of a building (house) with area 20-30 m2. All installation will be monitored and corresponding data will be presented online. This mini house will be located near the installation at the area of the hall.
• small scale power generators, e.g.: photovoltaic modules, wind turbine, thermoelectric modules, steam or gas micro turbine or/and fuel cell. This units will be working using renewable energy, gas from biomass gasification and hot water.
• integration with units of other energy systems (heat and power) as: solar collectors, heat pumps, small wind turbines, etc.
• some small buildings works in the hall would be necessary to improve visual form of the surroundings of the installation for better presentence in the online: painting of the walls, ceilings, floor covering, painting with different colors components of the installation, adding additional lights, extending electrical system for monitoring elements.
• preparation of films and other multimedia teaching materials for users of the explore house: starting from beginners levels to advanced. The multimedia will be necessary to get familiar with the installation and learn how to use it
- conducting own experiments.
